What are Biomes and Ecosystems? Biomes are an interdependent system of plants, animals, and land. They are a large region with similar ecosystems. Ecosystems are made up of living and nonliving things that interact with each other.

BIOMES
There are Six Main Land Biomes in the World.
The Six Main Land Biomes are:
1. Desert
2. Tundra
3. Grasslands
4. Rainforest
5. Taiga
6. Temperate Forest
There is also the Aquatic or Underwater Biome.
ECOSYSTEMS
This is the relationship between living and nonliving things and how they interact with each other in a system. An ecosystem is a smaller system that is included in the larger area. This larger area is called a biome. This means that ecosystems are included in biomes.
